Donald Trump is safe but you are not

There is a Jewish proverb, which says that the man who saves a life saves a thousand

But who has the chance to save thousands of lives and prefers to select them?
Yes, my dear as it may seem like a fictional film like: In Time we don’t always have a Will Salas to fight bravely in real life

I say that because Gilead executive Andrew Dickinson doesn’t seem to care much about lives, at least those that can’t afford his luxuries, caviar, New Year’s champagne

because when you realize that the only medicine so far, this Remdesivir can alleviate unpleasant situations like someone close to you that you love ceases to exist to be a boycott for a capitalist ideal

Accused of monopoly abuse and violation of patent law, the American pharmaceutical Gilead plans to profit “for several years” from the drug, making it difficult for it to reach Brazilian patients

Today we have a drug with the potential to end the HIV epidemic. The problem is that Gilead is the sole owner, and it charges astronomical prices. ” The criticism made by Congressman Elijah Cummings, during a 2019 congressional hearing, targeted the pharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences, a maker of HIV, hepatitis C and now covid-19 drugs. The warning a year ago explains why the majority of the world population, including Brazilians, will have limited access to the only drug approved so far by some countries for the new coronavirus, remdesivir.

The problem, as the deputy said, is that the drug belongs to Gilead, an American company known for getting the most out of its patents, even when it prevents the treatment of millions of people. The serious accusations against the laboratory range from infringement of patent law in the United States, to abuse of monopoly and exorbitant pricing in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

Gilead’s patent guarantees exclusivity to sell remdesivir for 20 years.

Taxpayers ‘money and government scientists’ efforts were essential to the development of remdesivir, but even so

for use in critically ill patients in the USA, UK, Japan, India, Singapore and South Korea.

The cost of manufacturing each ampoule is approximately 93 cents (US $ 0.93), according to researchers at the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom), who considered the value of the product’s raw material in the analysis. A ten-day treatment would therefore cost less than US $ 10 (about R $ 50) per patient.

However, Gilead executive Andrew Dickinson calculates that the price of the treatment could reach US $ 30 thousand (R $ 150 thousand), if only the cost-effectiveness of the medicine was taken into account -

Well, ladies and gentlemen, once again the United States has a chance to save the world, just as it did in other times, such as in the second war, but it is being prevented, vanity perhaps, I believe not
The world calls for help and as in a movie Lex Luthor is there preventing

Maybe no one really cares about this story, after all, a trans Jewish woman in a 3rd world country does not cause so many impacts
Meanwhile we see our Amazon being destroyed every day and with it thousands of herbal formulas, undiscovered drugs being destroyed too, who knows how many lost technologies burn every day

But do you know what’s left in this gigantic circus of freaks that we live in?

is to know that there is a smile, naive in the eyes of many others around me, whether Brazilians, Idians, Africans, Jews, Arabs

Do you know what is to be strong ? is you see everything going wrong in your life and still smile .. 🙏🏾🙌🏾
